There are at least 3 different types of intuition and all of them are useful when facilitating learning, particularly with horses. The first is holistic intuition which is when we take different sources of data and integrate them in a gestalt.
Inferential Intuition
Is when thought processes and decision making has become automatic based on experience. But how much experience is enough for it to be reliable?
Affective Intuition
can be valid and insightful, if it is used in combination with both inferential and holistic intuitions.
